Growing PE firm in Houston is looking to add a Sr. Accountant to join their team. Great culture & Benefits!! The Senior Accountant with be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, managing cash flow, conducting financial analysis, and assisting with tax preparation. The role also involves supporting the finance team, maintaining compliance with accounting regulations, and managing work tasks to meet deadlines.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
• Utilize accounting software to track financial transactions for various entities and funds
• Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts, cash, accounts payable and receivable, and intercompany/affiliate balances
• Conduct financial analysis and reporting, including Net Asset Value (NAV), waterfalls, and capital calls
• Assist in tax preparation, compliance, and coordination with external tax advisors
• Engage in monthly, quarterly, and yearly close activities
• Collaborate with fund administrators to review entities’ activities
• Monitor and report on cash balances, and reconcile cash accounts
• Analyze expenses and propose cost control strategies
• Assist in maintaining compliance with accounting regulations, policies, and internal controls
• Support the Finance team and mentor junior staff
• Handle other tasks and responsibilities as required.
Senior Accountant Requirements:
• CPA Required
• Big 4 Audit Experience
• Background in Fund Accounting, Private Equity, and Private Equity Fund
• Extensive knowledge in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
• Experience with NetSuite software
• Familiarity with Month End Close processes
• Expertise in General Ledger management and Journal Entries
