Volt is immediately hiring for Staff Accountant in Woburn, MA.
As a Staff Accountant you will:
This is a full time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Pay Rate: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour

As a Staff Accountant you will:
- Monthly financial close activities for unit with over $1 billion in annual revenue, including the following:
- Originate in Oracle financial software journal entries that provide the basis for accurate financial statements that must be provided to the SEC.
- Perform analysis of P&L accounts in team-based approach for U.S. operations
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring transactions are reported properly to support REIT and securitization reporting
- Support internal control documentation, checklists and audits to comply with the Sarbanes Oxley Act.
- Originate in Oracle financial software journal entries that provide the basis for accurate financial statements that must be provided to the SEC.
- Perform monthly operations reporting, including providing support for SEC reporting
- Assist with various projects and accounting matters to drive value through financial analyses
- Account for transactions, including complex lease arrangements, business acquisitions and other matters in accordance with GAAP
- Identify process enhancements for senior management and then initiate same
- Provide support for accounting for basic new business initiatives from GAAP prospective
- Perform ad hoc financial and accounting analysis as requested by management
- Provide data to respond to audit requests
- Assess accounting procedures to comply with GAAP guidance
This is a full time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Degree in a finance related major or equivalent work experience
- Proven understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”)
- Experience working with SEC rules and regulations
- Knowledge of Real Estate Investment Trust (“REIT”) tax requirements
- Experience with financial reporting including journal entry preparation, account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation
- Must be an organized and highly motivated team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with little or no supervision to make independent judgments while applying GAAP to standard business transactions, including complex lease arrangements
Pay Rate: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
