In this role, the CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, ensuring financial stability, and driving financial growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization’s mission and objectives.
- Provide financial insights and guidance to support strategic decision-making by the Board of Directors and executive leadership.
- Oversee the preparation of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
- Financial Management:
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, including revenues, expenses, and cash flow.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and financial statements.
- Manage the organization’s financial resources, including investments, reserves, and capital expenditures.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Oversee internal controls and risk management processes to safeguard the organization’s assets.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
- Fundraising and Resource Development:
- Collaborate with the Development team to develop financial plans and strategies for fundraising and resource development.
- Monitor and report on the financial performance of fundraising initiatives and grant programs.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, promoting professional development and effective teamwork.
- Oversee financial operations, including accounting, payroll, and financial administration.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate financial information and insights to the Board of Directors, staff, donors, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to the Board and other key stakeholders.
