We are currently seeking a meticulous and dedicated HR/Payroll Specialist to join our team. This position plays a vital role as it involves managing the company's payroll functions and to ensure efficient operation of human resources-related tasks. The primary responsibilities include creating a payroll process in Paycom for 200 employees, coding employees for payroll, completing full cycle payroll processing, and managing various HR operations.
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage the payroll process in Paycom for 200 employees ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assign appropriate payroll coding for each employee to ensure correct payments.
- Responsible for the full cycle of payroll processing, addressing any discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Handle HR administration tasks, staying organized and keeping employee records up-to-date.
- Oversee benefits administration and participate in open enrollment procedures.
- Handle duties related to Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave of absence (LOA) management.
- Manage workers' compensation, promptly resolving any issues that arise.
- Ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations, staying updated on recent changes.
- Produce detailed reports related to payroll, benefits, FMLA, worker's compensation and compliance.
- Collaborate with other HR staff to improve processes and policies, and to foster a healthy, positive work culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
- Proven experience as an HR/Payroll Specialist or similar role in HR.
- Must have hands-on experience with Paycom.
- Thorough knowledge of human resources and payroll practices, principles, and procedures.
- Familiarity with FMLA/LOA regulations and workers' compensation.
- Solid understanding of HR compliance issues.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as an HR/Payroll Specialist or similar role
• Proficiency in Paycom payroll software is necessary
• Extensive knowledge and experience in Full Cycle Payroll
• Must have a deep understanding of deductions and garnishments
• Experience in Benefits Administration, including Open Enrollment
• Familiarity with FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) and Workers Compensation regulations
• Ability to manage Payroll - Garnishments effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
• Professional certification in Human Resources or Payroll (e.g., PHR, CPP) is a plus.
