We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team. This individual will fill a key role within the accounting group. This position will support various aspects of finance and accounting for the company, including but not limited to, working with Operations, assisting in various audits, and monitoring metrics of the business to aid in daily operational decisions. This position also requires general accounting abilities, including journal entries, intercompany transactions, account reconciliations, and accruals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performing monthly reconciliations
• Analyzing and maintaining proper documentation of fixed asset transactions and inventory transactions.
• Preparing and analyzing monthly journal entries and accruals
• Ensuring transactions are in accordance with GAAP.
• Ensuring internal policies and procedures are followed, with exceptions communicated to management.
• Work as a team with two other staff accountants in standardizing practices and procedures.
• Analyze and interpret statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, trends, and other matters impacting the effectiveness of operations.
• Assisting in audit preparation.

Qualifications:

• A proven track record of academic and professional excellence.
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting (or equivalent experience)
• 3 - 5+ years of related experience
• Demonstrated skills and experience in managing goals through collaboration and teamwork.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, strong problem-solving techniques required.
• Advanced Microsoft excel skills required.
• Excellent mathematical and computational skills.
• Experienced and skilled in reconciliations.
