About the role:
An accountant is responsible for the books of 20-30 individual corporations. They will report directly to our controller and the accounting director. Accountants have a bookkeeping staff which they will communicate directly with. The reports generated are used for financial reporting as well as operational reporting to help each unit operator be successful. Accountants take on other responsibilities and develop into leadership positions as their skills develop.
Responsibilities:
· Review monthly financial statements
· Create and enter journal entries as deemed necessary
· File sales tax returns and other state required documents
· Reconcile bank account
· Approve accounts payable payment
· Approve data entry by the bookkeeping staff
· Answer financial questions from unit operators
