The Barrows Sollenberger Group, PC is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and organized candidate to join our growing team as an Accounting & Tax Services Assistant. Our company has built a foundation on providing our clients with strategic tax and wealth management planning and consulting services. The Accounting & Tax Services Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our team of professionals in delivering efficient and high-quality services to our clients.

Scope of Responsibilities:
- Administration of QuickBooks (online and desktop versions) including general ledger, bank reconciliations and payroll.
- Process payroll for clients
- Process and assemble various tax returns.
- Assist with client drop off or pick up of tax returns including instruct clients on necessary action steps.
- Sort, scan, and data enter tax documents accurately to aid in the preparation of tax returns.
- Assist with preparation/dissemination/collection of tax organizers.
- Assist with answering/transferring calls and greeting clients/visitors with professionalism and courtesy while maintaining a friendly and composed demeanor.
- Ability to learn client relationship management (CRM), assist with managing CRM and client on-boarding.
- Maintain the firm’s documents including creating, filing, and purging physical and digital files.
- Possess friendly, professional, and knowledgeable verbal and written communication skills in order to deliver exceptional client experience at firm’s standards to clients, staff, and vendors.
- Ensure sensitive and confidential information is handled and stored securely, following established procedures to maintain client privacy and data security.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
Experience and Education (required):
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of Administrative Assistant or Office Assistant work experience (preferred).
- 2+ years of QuickBooks experience, including payroll (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
- Dedication to detail and accuracy.
- Must be able to work as a member of a team.
- Holds self accountable for assigned work; seeks feedback to develop in role; open to new ideas and suggestions

Pay Rate: $18 - $27 per hour, based on level of experience.
