Staff Accountant Opportunity - Urbandale, IA

Job Description:

• This position is for an entry-level professional individual contributor in General Accounting, who works under close supervision.
• Under general supervision this role provides accounting support requiring familiarity with and experience in accounting office practices as well as knowledge of a variety of accounting classifications.
• Duties may be performed in various groups within Controllership including, but not limited to, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Control, Fiduciary and General Ledger.

Key Responsibilities

• General Ledger Accounting:

  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting journal entries.
  • Perform account reconciliations and analyses.

• Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Process invoices, expense reports, and payment transactions.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices.

• Financial Reporting:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Help with the preparation of management reports and variance analyses.
