This position is located in West Chester, OH
Summary:
The System Administrators role is to configure, maintain, and monitor applications and systems to ensure a high level of availability of the supported network environment. This position is critical to ensuring systems are running to keep our manufacturing and support team members productive.
Reports to: Chief Information Officer
Location: Cincinnati (West Chester)
Responsibilities include:
- Ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and networks by following best practices IT planning, development, implementation, and maintenance processes
- Manage all aspects of the infrastructure: servers, networking, PCs, telecom services and cell services to ensure uptime during operating hours
- Administer disaster recovery procedures and backup jobs, including periodic testing to validate backups – experience with Datto is a plus
- Manage Hyper-V virtual servers and storage technologies - experience with Storage Spaces Direct is a plus
- Keep servers updated with current firmware and patches
- Install, configure, upgrade, and support Windows, Mac OSX, Office365, Meraki, AWS and Linux hardware
- Provide level 2 end-user computer hardware and software support to local and remote users – provide backup level 1 support as volume and schedules require
- Assist in the implementation of new technologies in assigned projects
- Keep systems, backup and restore procedure documentation current
- Manage work assignments & priorities of 2 help desk specialists
Required Experience:
- Experience working as a Systems Administrator at a mid-sized company
- Windows Systems experience using server monitoring and reporting tools such as switches, routers, firewalls, spam filters, VLANs, Windows 2016 or later, Hyper-V, backup/ system recovery, Active Directory etc.
- Amazon Web Services experience using EC2, RDS databases and microservices
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management information Systems, or related degree is preferred
