Located in our office and distribution center in Independence, OH, Faber-Castell has an opportunity available for a Systems\Network Administrator possessing the skills and ambition to assist in the support of our IT department. Position is preferably hybrid work.

Candidate must be able to function as a part of a global Corporate IT structure.

 Candidate must reside in the Greater Cleveland area to be considered for the role. 

Responsibilities

·         Maintaining computer networks and systems including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware.

·         Installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues.

·         Updating virus protection software to keep data and communications protected.

·         Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks.

·         Communicating networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users.

·         Fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems.

·         Perform typical System Administration tasks.

·         Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Desktops, Windows Servers, Networking and Infrastructure equipment, printers, and phone system.

·         Support and train end-users and ensure network security.

·         Install updates\upgrades.

·         Research and make recommendations on technology initiatives.

·         Work with department heads to streamline operations and provide after hours on-call support.

·         Manage user accounts, permissions, access rights and monitor and maintain backups.

·         Other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

·         Preferred but not required: Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.

·         3-5 years of related experience.

·         Requires extensive knowledge of Microsoft Products and Applications, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.

·         Server\Workstation (Primarily Dell) hardware expertise.

·         Problem Solving expertise.

·         Solid understanding of VMware.

·         Solid understanding of TCP/IP protocols, i.e. SSL/HTTPs, SMTP, FTP, SSH, DNS, and DHCP.

·         Solid understanding of Networking Concepts and configuration.

·         Office 365 Administration experience preferred.

·         Basic understanding of Firewalls.

·         Basic knowledge of wireless configuration and testing.

·         Basic knowledge of Crystal Reports\SSRS a plus.

·         Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL a plus.

·         Macola\Wisys\SAP experience a plus.

·         SAP rollout experience a plus.

·         Ability to physically lift, pull, push, drag, and carry equipment up to 40lbs by yourself.
