We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an HR Generalist in the aerospace industry, based in Goldsboro, North Carolina. In this role, you will undertake a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, compliance, and policy implementation, as well as employee training and development.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate all aspects of the recruitment process, from developing job postings to conducting interviews and facilitating the onboarding of new employees.
• Act as a main point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
• Handle and resolve employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner.
• Ensure the maintenance of accurate employee records and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Assist in managing employee benefits programs, including enrollment and changes.
• Keep abreast of employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with organizational goals.
• Conduct regular audits of HR files and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate workshops and training sessions to improve employee skills and knowledge.
• Support performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback collection, and performance reviews.• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role within the Aerospace industry
• Proficient in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
• Experience with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
• Familiarity with HR software such as Ceridian and Dayforce
• Strong knowledge of Benefit Functions including health insurance, retirement plans, and employee assistance programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated expertise in ensuring Compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Proven ability to manage Employee Relations and address employee concerns effectively
• Experience with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and its applications in the workplace
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
• Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
