We are seeking an HR Generalist to join our team in the construction/contractor industry, based in Kent, WA. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including recruiting support, benefits administration, managing HR documentation compliance and personnel files, and more depending on experience. This role offers a contract employment opportunity in a hybrid workplace with a growing company. Candidates must be available to work in-office 2-3 days/week.
Responsibilities:
• Exercise strong HR acumen and maintain HR discretion/confidentiality
• Enter data into HRIS accurately and efficiently
• Ensure compliance documentation is up to date
• Handle and manage personnel files, both electronic and physical
• Provide support for onboarding new hires
• Utilize skills in recruiting and sourcing where applicable
• Assist in benefits administration where necessary
• Adapt to the use of a new HRIS (MS D365 Elevate)
• Execute other tasks and projects based on experience, strengths, and the team’s evolving needs
• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft D365 Elevate
• Expertise in Benefits Administration
• Familiarity with HR Compliance
• Experience in Employee Relations and FMLA
• Proficiency in Recruitment - Sourcing, Full Cycle Recruiting, and Recruiting
• Skilled in New Employee Orientation and Onboarding
• Previous experience as an HR Generalist or similar role in the construction/contractor industry
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
