We are seeking an experienced Accountant with experience in Accounts Payable and Payroll for a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accountant in Ocala, Florida. This role involves handling invoice verification, vendor payments, and account reconciliations, while also assisting with payroll operations, including salary calculations, benefit administration, and compliance with tax regulations. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the integrity of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate and process invoices, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Manage payroll operations, including data entry, payroll calculations, and tax filings.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing and analyzing financial reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to maintain smooth financial operations and compliance with accounting standards.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance a plus.

2+ years of experience in accounting with a focus on Accounts Payable and Payroll.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and regulations.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
