Duties/Responsibilities:
· Plans, directs and administers various human resource initiatives as set by the executive team.
· Writes and revises job classification specifications and descriptions.
· Posts jobs as needed and conducts preliminary screenings of candidates for suitability for open positions.
· Conduct reference checks on prospective candidates.
· Facilitates and oversees initial new employee onboarding.
· Runs weekly payroll, ensuring PTO, and expenses are tracked correctly.
· Researches, analyzes data and prepares quarterly reports on HR trends, new HR project suggestions and current program goals and progress.
· Develops, reviews and revises program policies and procedures.
· Advises management on the formulation and administration of plans and policies for human resource activities.
· Oversee and conduct internal investigations into HR violations and/or complaints if needed.
· Develops, revises and implements HR policies and procedures after ensuring compliance and synergy with PEO provider’s services.
· Answers non-routine requests for information on policy interpretation.
· Conducts periodic audits of human resource activities to ensure compliance with established procedures.
· Participates in professional development sessions or seminars.
· Works on special projects.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of human resource management, dynamics of employee development and professional growth, and training program design and presentation.
· Working knowledge of state and federal labor laws and regulations.
· Ability to compose and present comprehensive reports.
· Ability to plan, organize and present training activities to diverse employee groups.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Paylocity experience desired, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
