Under the direction of the companies Controller, the Staff Accountant will support the general accounting, financial reporting, and finance functions of the company. Candidates should have exceptional communication skills, a commitment to achieving a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and a no-task-too-small approach to the work. An ideal team member will be able to work well independently but also be flexible enough to be directed at times.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Process and post financial transactions, such as invoices, payments, expense reports, and journal entries.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Generate regular financial reports and provide meaningful insights to management for decision-making purposes.
• Monitor accounts payable functions, including verifying vendor invoices, processing payments, and resolving any payment discrepancies.

Candidates should have the following qualifications.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related degree or 5 years of accounting experience
• Strong computer skills: Intermediate Excel, general ledger/accounting system, ERP systems, and other Microsoft Office products.
• Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of work product.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• High degree of professionalism interacting with all levels of management.
• Customer service oriented with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Organized and flexible with the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a demanding fast-paced environment.
