The Judge Rotenberg Educational Center Inc (JRC) is a day and residential school located in Canton, Massachusetts licensed to serve ages five through adult. Since 1971, JRC has provided very effective education and treatment to both emotionally disturbed students with conduct, behavior, emotional, and/or psychiatric problems, as well as those with intellectual disabilities or on the autism spectrum.
The Judge Rotenberg Educational Center Inc. is seeking a Payroll Manager. When coordinating payroll processing operations, the Payroll Manager is responsible for accurate preparation, documentation, distribution of paychecks and direct deposit programs and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system. Other responsibilities include reviewing the computation of pay and associated deductions for accuracy. The individual must have a high level of professionalism, strong communication skills and have exceptional customer support skills to be able to work with and properly address employee pay issues as they arise. This candidate must also monitor and ensure the accuracy of the ADP database, answer all questions/correspondence concerning payroll and its structure. This position reports directly to the Assistant Finance Manager. This is a non-exempt, full-time position. Hours of work are typically 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, or as required by the demands of the position.
Qualifications
- BS in Accounting or Business Management or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Have 3+ years of experience processing payroll using ADP Workforce Now or ADP Enterprise and be adept at using other payroll systems and software.
- Experience processing a large volume of over 1,200 employee bi-weekly payroll
- Strong background in payroll or other functions of Finance, with a good understanding of common fiscal procedures
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality
- Ability to organize, multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Innovative thinker that brings continuous improvement mindset
- Prepares statistical reports on employee pay, vacation, sick, taxes, withholding, etc.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
