Located near Elk River, MN, this contract position offers the chance to serve as an Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD) Center-Based Special Education Teacher within a specialty elementary school committed to Mathematics, Science, and Children’s Engineering. The role spans the 2026-2027 school year, from early September through early June, with a full-time weekday schedule.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or 4 required)
• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, especially in emotional or behavioral disorders
• Strong ability to foster a supportive and inclusive classroom culture
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to individualized instruction and innovative teaching strategies
• Resume and certification required to be considered for presentation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for elementary students with emotional and behavioral needs
• Facilitate engaging classroom instruction rooted in mathematics, science, and engineering principles
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to design and carry out interventions
• Utilize Project Lead the Way Launch curriculum to empower young learners in STEM and real-world problem-solving
• Manage classroom environment to support students’ academic and social-emotional growth
• Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and results
• Participate in ongoing professional development and school community initiatives
