Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in grades 4 or 5
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with teachers, families, and support staff
• Creative problem-solving and the ability to adapt lesson plans for various learning needs
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom community

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to students in 4th and 5th grades with special needs, focusing on their unique educational plans
• Develop, update, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
• Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and differentiation in the classroom
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure consistent support and progress monitoring
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral data
