Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 Endorsement required
- Proven experience teaching or supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and school staff
- Adaptability and resourcefulness in responding to classroom and caseload needs
- Commitment to creating equitable opportunities and supporting student growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students based on their IEPs
- Manage a caseload across either high school or K-8 grade levels, according to your experience and preference
- Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans to meet the needs of each learner
- Maintain effective communication with parents and other stakeholders
- Complete all documentation, progress reports, and compliance tasks related to special education
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate actively within the school community
