Job Description
The Shipping Associate supports all outbound shipping operations, focusing on accurate packing, inspection, documentation, and coordination of domestic and international shipments. This role works extensively with major carriers and internal systems to ensure that products leave the facility on time, in good condition, and with complete and correct documentation.
Responsibilities
- Support outbound shipping operations exclusively, ensuring all outgoing orders are processed accurately and on time.
- Perform detailed packing of products, including proper packaging, labeling, and securing of items for shipment.
- Inspect outgoing shipments to verify contents, quality, and packaging against shipping documentation and order requirements.
- Prepare and manage all shipping documentation, including labels, packing slips, and any required export or compliance documents.
- Coordinate shipments using major carriers such as FedEx, UPS, and DHL, selecting appropriate services based on delivery needs and cost considerations.
- Support both domestic and international shipping activities, following established procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Create and print shipping labels using carrier systems and internal tools, ensuring accuracy of addresses, weights, and service levels.
- Track shipments in real time using Google Suite tools and internal systems such as Zoho or similar platforms, updating records as needed.
- Use internal logistics or CRM-type platforms (such as Zoho or Salesforce or similar systems) to log, monitor, and document shipping activities.
- Communicate shipment status and tracking information to internal stakeholders as required.
- Maintain a high level of organization in the shipping area, ensuring that all materials, labels, and documentation are properly managed.
- Follow all applicable shipping and logistics procedures, including ITAR-related requirements and company policies.
- Support overtime needs after regular shifts and on weekends as required to meet shipping deadlines.
Essential Skills
- Hands-on shipping and logistics experience with outbound operations.
- Practical experience using FedEx, UPS, and DHL shipping systems, including label creation and shipment coordination.
- Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment handling physical products and shipments.
- Experience with international shipping processes, including documentation and carrier coordination.
- Familiarity with internal systems such as Zoho, Salesforce, or similar platforms for tracking and managing shipments.
- Proficiency with Google Suite for tracking, documentation, and communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, for recording and managing shipment data.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work reliably on a consistent schedule with strong attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to comply with ITAR-related requirements.

- Experience in retail or distribution environments with strong shipping responsibilities.
- Experience in shipping and receiving, including generating and applying shipping labels.
- Experience with packing and picking processes in a warehouse or similar setting.
- Comfort working with multiple carrier platforms and adapting to different shipping systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and labeling.
- Demonstrated reliability and a strong attendance history in previous roles.

Work Environment
This position operates on a 2nd shift schedule from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM.
