Shipping Clerk We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to support daily warehouse and shipping operations. This role is responsible for preparing customer orders for shipment, verifying accuracy, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring products are packaged and delivered safely and on time. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, values accuracy, and is committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment in accordance with established quality and shipping standards.
- Verify products, quantities, labels, and packaging to ensure order accuracy before shipment.
- Process shipments using warehouse management systems, scanners, and shipping software while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Read and interpret pick tickets, shipping documentation, and packaging instructions to support efficient order fulfillment.
- Safely move, stage, load, and unload materials using appropriate warehouse equipment and shipping tools.
- Package products to company specifications to prevent damage during transportation.
- Maintain adequate shipping supplies and ensure workstations remain clean, organized, and safe.
- Collaborate with warehouse personnel and other departments to ensure timely and accurate shipment of customer orders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in shipping, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or a related environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, labels, and work instructions.
- Familiarity with shipping software, inventory systems, and warehouse equipment preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle large or awkward materials in a warehouse environment.
Job Details:- Contract to Hire
- Pay $17- $18 an hour, depending on experience
