Job Title: 1st Shift Field Service Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated 1st Shift Field Service Technician to provide on-site technical expertise for our customers, focusing on the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of industrial pneumatic conveying, exhaust, and exhaust filtration systems. This role requires approximately 40% travel to customer facilities across the United States, with time spent at our Canton facility when not traveling.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer facilities throughout the United States to install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service work on pneumatic conveying systems, exhaust systems, and filtration equipment.
• Diagnose and repair components including industrial blowers, cyclone receivers, elbow receivers, diverter valves, vacuum systems, motors, and related equipment.
• Lead equipment startups and system commissioning activities, ensuring proper airflow rates, mechanical functionality, and operational performance.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and P&ID drawings.
• Assist with assembly, wiring, and testing of equipment and control panels at the Canton facility when not traveling.
• Train customer operators and maintenance personnel on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Document service work, inspections, repairs, and startup activities.
• Maintain a professional relationship with customers while serving as the primary field representative of the company.
• Follow all company and customer safety standards while working in industrial manufacturing environments.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of field service, industrial maintenance, installation, or mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, or industrial production equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 40% of the time.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with pneumatic conveying systems.
• Experience with industrial exhaust or filtration systems.
• Familiarity with PLC and HMI troubleshooting.
• Experience wiring electrical control panels from ladder diagrams.
• Manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or field service.
• Experience working in food processing, industrial manufacturing, or material handling environments.
• Ability to quickly learn new equipment and technologies.

This is a Permanent position based out of Canton, OH.

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
