Key Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana Department of Education Certification required
- Previous experience or training as a School Psychologist in K–12 settings is highly desirable
- Ability to complete drug screening and fingerprinting as part of district credentialing
- Strong communication, collaboration, and assessment skills
- Commitment to culturally responsive practices and fostering inclusive learning spaces
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations of students to assess academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention services
- Support the implementation of preventive programs to enhance students’ social-emotional growth
- Document services, maintain compliance with district/state guidelines, and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
