Key Qualifications:

• Current Louisiana Department of Education (DOE) School Psychologist Certificate is required
• Proficiency conducting psychological assessments, interpreting data, and recommending action plans for students spanning various age groups
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and across multiple school sites (specific assignments to be determined)
• Comprehensive understanding of state and federal special education laws and processes
• Must meet additional credentialing, including drug screening and district fingerprint background check

Responsibilities Include:

• Conducting evaluations and assessments for students as referred
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring intervention plans in line with IEP requirements and best practices
• Facilitating collaboration between staff, families, and community partners to foster supportive educational solutions
• Providing crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation services as needed
• Maintaining accurate and timely case documentation in accordance with established protocols

The position offers a consistent daytime schedule: Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week, seven-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, following the school calendar. Placement at specific campuses and caseload details will be determined to best match your skills and district needs.
