Program. Commission. Solve Problems.

We're looking for the engineer everyone else calls when they're stuck.

The best AV engineers don't simply install equipment.

They make complex systems work.

They understand signal flow, control systems, DSP, networking, commissioning, and customer expectations. They're comfortable walking into a room where nobody can figure out the problem—and leaving with everything working.

If that's the kind of work you enjoy, we'd like to meet you.

The Audio Visual Company (AVCO) is seeking a Senior AV Field Engineer to commission and program advanced commercial AV systems throughout Hawaii.

What You'll Do

• Program and commission integrated AV systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot:
• • Crestron
  • Extron
  • Biamp
  • Q-SYS
  • BSS
• Commission DSP, control, switching, video distribution, and conferencing systems.
• Configure AV networks including VLANs, Dante, multicast, and managed switches.
• Perform system verification and final acceptance testing.
• Train customers during project turnover.
• Support Service and Engineering on complex troubleshooting assignments.
• Mentor junior technicians and field engineers.

Required Experience

• Demonstrated programming experience with:

Our Standards

We take pride in our work because our customers depend on these systems every day.

Our engineers are expected to:

• Deliver clean, organized programming.
• Produce systems that work reliably before turnover.
• Build racks and field documentation that another engineer can immediately understand.
• Continue learning as technology evolves.
• Communicate professionally with customers and teammates.
• Solve problems instead of assigning blame.
• Leave every installation better than they found it.

We're interested in engineers who care about craftsmanship as much as technical knowledge.

Why AVCO?

You'll work on projects that challenge your technical abilities, including:

• Higher Education
• Government
• Military
• Corporate
• Healthcare
• Hospitality
• Large networked AV systems
• Enterprise control systems
