Position Summary
We’re hiring dependable Pipe Crew Laborers to support excavation and installation of underground water lines, sanitary sewer piping, manholes, and storm drainage systems. This is a hands‐on, physical role on active job sites across the Triad area.
What you’ll do
- Assist with trenching, pipe laying, jointing, bedding, backfill and compaction.
- Set up and maintain traffic control and site housekeeping.
- Secure and move materials, load/unload trucks, and maintain tools/equipment.
- Support equipment operators (spotting, guiding loads, moving hoses/cables).
- Help install manholes, inlets, and perform basic concrete/asphalt patching as needed.
- Follow project plans and direction from crew leaders.
Schedule & Work Conditions
- Start time: 7:00 AM on site daily.
- Typical workweek: 50+ hours (overtime expected on occasion).
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions — hot, cold, wet, muddy and dry.
- Must reliably travel to job sites across the Triad (company provides job locations).

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Construction experience required (3+ years preferred); public utility experience a plus.
- Must be physically able to lift 50+ lbs. repeatedly, stand/bend/kneel for long periods, and perform strenuous tasks, outside in the elements.
- Reliable transportation to job sites and a valid driver’s license.
- Able to pass pre‐employment drug screen and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
- English required; Spanish a plus.

Preferred
- OSHA 10, Confined Space, Trenching/Shoring, CPR/First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain).
