We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Heavy Equipment Lead Technician - Shop Foreman to oversee daily operations of our service department. This pivotal role combines technical expertise with leadership, ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. As the Shop Foreman, you will supervise a team of skilled technicians, coordinate project activities, and uphold safety protocols while maintaining a focus on productivity and excellence. Your hands-on approach and construction management skills will drive success across multiple projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and scope.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing work environment
- Coordinate daily shop activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management to optimize productivity
- Converse with customers regarding troubleshooting and repairs
- Conduct quality control inspections to verify work meets project specifications and industry standards
- Read and interpret schematics, diagnostics, and technical drawings to guide installation and troubleshooting efforts
- Manage online documentation including contracts, change orders, and progress reports to ensure accurate record-keeping

Qualifications
- Proven management experience in construction or heavy industry environments with supervising responsibilities
- Ability to communicate well with customers about and issues and repairs
- Strong knowledge of Heavy Equipment Repairs including advanced computer diagnostics, Troubleshooting, and Repairs
- Hands-on experience with ALL equipment systems including Diesel, Electronic, Hydraulic, Powertrain, cooling, braking, and regeneration
- Skilled in using tools like diagnostic software and ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting and quality assessments
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating teams, clients, and subcontractors effectively
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and apply them in real-world settings
- Relevant certifications in construction management or related fields are preferred
