Position Overview:
The Field Technician III is an entry-level field service role supporting the installation, removal, and rehabilitation of pump systems. Working under the direction of experienced Foremen and Project Managers, you’ll learn industry-standard processes and safety practices while gaining hands-on experience in both field and shop settings. This position offers excellent opportunities for growth into higher technician and foreman levels.

Employees are expected to obtain a CDL permit within 90 days and progress toward a Class B or Class A CLD through our company-supported training program.

Field Technician III → Field Technician II → Foreman
Many of our Foremen started in entry-level field positions and advanced through hands-on experience, technical training, and company-sponsored development programs.
What You'll Do:
- Assist with pump and well installation, removal, and rehabilitation under supervision.
- Support shop and yard operations, including cleaning, organizing, staging, and preparing tools and equipment for field work.
- Participate in site setup and teardown, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Help load, unload, and transport tools, rigging, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and field equipment safely.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Assist with work order documentation and equipment tracking.
- Communicate effectively with Foremen, Project Managers, and team members.
- Participate in on-the-job training and company-sponsored technical courses.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid California Class “C” Driver’s License
- Must obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) permit within 90 days of hire
- Must obtain a Class “B” or “A” CDL within the required time frame after hire
- Must be able to obtain a Hazmat Endorsement (requires TSA clearance)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- Strong teamwork, reliability, and communication skills
- Willingness to work around traffic, heavy equipment, and chemicals used in well rehabilitation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in construction, field service, mechanical, or utility work
- Basic knowledge of rigging, welding, or electrical systems
- Interest in building a long-term career in pump and well services
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, around traffic, and near heavy machinery
