Looking for a part time and/or full time kitchen worker for the night shift (4 - 10 pm) at our Korean soup restaurant who has little to some previous experience in the restaurant industry! We are looking to hire ASAP, with interviews being held this upcoming Tuesday (August 4) for immediate training. The cooking required for our restaurant is very easily taught and learned, so you do NOT need extensive cooking experience in order to apply. Just a good attitude and determination to learn!
Job position includes various kitchen work but focuses on cooking and food preparation. We will teach all the necessary skills and recipes, but we are hoping to find someone with some experience cooking and who can be a fast and efficient learner. Our restaurant is a family owned small business, with locations in 3 different states. We specialize in Korean traditional ox beef bone soup, and our menu extends to various other Korean soups and dishes. Again, our cooking does NOT require a lot of previous experience, and if you have interest we urge you to apply!
Training period will be paid in $12/hour (minimum wage), and then will be increased to $13 - $15/hour after training, according to how well you are able to learn and improve. Training period can be around 2-7 days, depending on how quickly you can pick up the material- but our recipes are not hard to learn, and can be learned quickly!
REQUIREMENTS:
- little to some experience working in restaurant industry
- PREFERRED to already have Food Handler Card and TAM Card - if you do not have it now, then you must be willing to receive one soon after hiring
- Can speak some English- enough to be able to learn recipes and instructions
- Cannot be in high school - we are looking for someone who can commit to our working hours without worrying about scheduling conflicts!
- Is able to work during dinner shifts (4 - 10 pm)
