We're recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join an established food manufacturing company in Mount Royal, NJ.

This is a hands-on role maintaining and repairing food processing equipment, supporting preventative maintenance, equipment reliability and production uptime. Overtime and excellent benefits are available.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventative maintenance on food processing and packaging equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Diagnose motors, conveyors, variable frequency drives (VFDs) and safety systems
• Assemble and disassemble production equipment for repairs and maintenance
• Support equipment installations, relocations and production line improvements
• Work closely with Production to minimise downtime and improve equipment performance
• Complete maintenance work orders and repair documentation
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and scissor lifts as required
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and maintain a safe working environment

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years' industrial maintenance experience
• Experience maintaining food processing equipment
• Strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
• Experience with 3-phase, single-phase and 24V electrical systems
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and parts manuals
• Experience using electrical diagnostic equipment
• Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures
• Experience with conveyors, grinders, saws, thermoformers, VFDs or preventative maintenance programs is advantageous
