About the Role

As the Lead HVAC Warranty Technician, you will oversee warranty-related service calls while serving as the technical expert for installation quality and post-installation support.

You'll diagnose and resolve warranty concerns, perform advanced troubleshooting, ensure manufacturer warranty compliance, and work closely with our installation, service, and quality control teams to identify trends and improve overall workmanship.

This is a leadership role that requires strong technical knowledge, professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to delivering five-star customer service.

Key Responsibilities Warranty Service

• Respond to residential HVAC warranty calls
• Diagnose and repair equipment covered under manufacturer and company warranties
• Troubleshoot complex heating and cooling system issues
• Resolve customer concerns efficiently and professionally
• Complete repairs while minimizing repeat visits

Leadership

• Serve as the lead technician for all warranty-related issues
• Provide technical guidance and support to service and installation technicians
• Assist with training and coaching team members
• Help identify recurring installation or equipment issues
• Recommend process improvements to reduce warranty callbacks

Technical Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical, refrigerant, airflow, and mechanical issues
• Repair gas furnaces, electric heating systems, heat pumps, and air conditioning systems
• Verify refrigerant charge, airflow, static pressure, temperature split, and system performance
• Complete manufacturer warranty documentation when required
• Maintain accurate service records and repair notes

Customer Experience

• Educate homeowners on proper system operation
• Communicate repairs clearly and professionally
• Ensure every customer receives a five-star experience
• Represent Astar with professionalism and integrity

✅ Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years of Residential HVAC Service experience preferred
• Proven experience troubleshooting advanced HVAC systems
• Previous leadership or mentoring experience preferred
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while supporting team success
• Strong organizational and documentation skills

Requirements

• EPA Universal Certification
• Current Texas TDLR Registration
• Valid Driver's License with an insurable driving record
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass background screening
• Ability to lift equipment and work in varying weather conditions
• Ability to participate in rotating on-call schedule
