Disassemble and inspect equipment and components to determine and repair the cause of failure. Reassemble equipment after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
Perform parts, machine and equipment repair and installation including bearings, gears, power components, springs, belt drives, chain drives, conveyors, electric motors, machine controls, DC motors, solenoids, timers/counters, conductors, motor drive systems, fluid systems, hydraulic components/systems, pneumatic components, press brakes, robotics, circuit boards, switches, circuits, PLC’s, etc. Perform work in accordance with all known manufacturers’ specifications and guidelines.
Install or relocate new and existing equipment.
Contact equipment manufacturer or vendor for technical support assistance.
Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information. Complete work orders, purchase orders or maintenance daily summary reports.
Modify, engineer or fabricate tools and equipment. Using soldering, MIG and stick welding techniques, processes and equipment to repair joints or fabrication of metals.
Collect and discard worn machine parts; maintain machinery and work areas.
Maintain parts, hardware, and tool inventory. Notify purchasing when inventory requires replenishment. Communicate with supply vendors as required.
Calibrates equipment, electronically and mechanically.
Assist with spill containment and clean up.
Perform required maintenance per established preventative maintenance program.
Back up other Maintenance shifts/positions as needed.
Oversee and perform daily housekeeping duties in maintenance shop. Maintain and cleanup work area after repair or install has been completed.
Follow and comply with all health/safety rules and regulations.
