Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Specialist to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling complex electronic and mechanical components, ensuring adherence to detailed blueprints and schematics. This role is vital in maintaining the quality and efficiency of our production processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electronics assembly, electrical wiring, and mechanical assembly, with a focus on electro-mechanical components and surface mount technology. Duties
- Assemble electrical panels and electro-mechanical components following detailed schematics and blueprint specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and machining tools to complete assemblies accurately.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and IPC 610 standards for quality assurance.
- Perform surface mount technology (SMT) assembly on printed circuit boards (PCBs) with precision.
- Conduct electrical wiring, component placement, and mechanical assembly tasks adhering to engineering troubleshooting protocols.
- Verify electrical connections using ohmmeters and other testing instruments to ensure proper functionality.
- Assist in the building of electrical panels, including wiring, component installation, and schematic verification.
- Follow safety protocols and quality standards during all phases of assembly.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues related to electro-mechanical components.
- Maintain detailed documentation of assembly processes and test results for quality control.
Requirements
- Proven experience in electronics assembly, PCB manufacturing, or related manufacturing roles.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with soldering techniques, surface mount technology (SMT), and electrical wiring.
- Familiarity with IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and perform mechanical assembly tasks accurately.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for electro-mechanical systems.
- Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to follow blueprints and schematics precisely.
