Blue Line Engineering has an immediate opening for a full-time Electronics Assembly Specialist. The specialist hired for this position will be responsible for the assembly of high-precision sensor systems used in commercial environments, as well as military and space flight applications. Our Electronics Assembly Specialists must have the ability to perform fine detail mechanical and electronic assembly tasks, including high quality hand soldering and precision coil winding. Fine motor skills and attention to detail are absolutely critical, as is the ability to work well with the production team.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
· Achieve expected outcome in quality hand soldering to J-STD-001, with Space Addendum, hand coil winding, assembly and handling of electronic cables and connectors;
· Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods of time;
· Excellent hand dexterity, good hand-eye coordination;
· Maintain focus and attention to detail;
· Work with chemicals, epoxies, staking, and conformal coating;
· Work with a variety of hand tools and equipment (LCR meter, Ohmmeter);
· Understand and interpret the details of assembly instructions, drawings, parts lists, and special process documentation; also be able to follow verbal instructions;
· Perform self-inspections on work before signing off on completion;
· Assist Materials Manager with component and inventory control;
· Maintain a clean and organized work area;
· Must be able to perform in a team environment with good interpersonal skills with commitment to the highest quality achievable and work with minimal supervision;
· Must be able to work in a changing fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously;
· Participate in continuous improvement activities.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
The ideal candidate should fulfill the following requirements:
· A High School Diploma or equivalent.
· A minimum of 2 years of electrical and mechanical assembly experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
· Hand soldering/certification to IPC J-STD-001 a must, with Space Addendum is preferred;
· Ability to comprehend and adhere to engineering drawings, written detailed assembly procedures, and processes.
· Exceptional mechanical and electrical aptitude, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
· Additional preferred experience:
· 1 year of coil winding experience;
· Proficient computer skills, familiarity with use of MS Office;
· Component and inventory control experience;
· Working knowledge of bench top lab equipment such as a multimeter, LCR meter, etc.
