Position Summary:
The Water Technician Foreman is responsible for responding to residential and commercial water, fire, biohazard, and microbial growth damage losses and performing mitigation services. This position assists with water extraction, structural drying, demolition, cleanup, and restoration preparation while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. The Technician serves as the primary on-site leader, responsible for training team members, resolving field issues, communicating with customers and inspectors, and ensuring all work progresses efficiently, safely, and to specification.
Responsibilities
- Respond to water damage and emergency service calls promptly and professionally.
- Lead and perform water extraction, cleanup, and mitigation services on residential and commercial properties.
- Set up, monitor, and remove equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, & air scrubbers.
- Conduct moisture inspections, take reading, and document drying progress using appropriate tools and technology.
- Oversee and perform removal of damaged materials such as drywall, insulation, flooring, cabinets, and other affected contents.
- Coordinate and assist with demolition and site preparation for reconstruction.
- Ensure proper cleaning, sanitizing, and containment affected according to company and industry standards.
- Enforce all safety protocols, including OSHA compliance and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate and complete job documentation, including photos, moisture logs, equipment data, job notes, and time sheets.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding scope of work, progress updates, and timelines.
- Supervise, support, and hold team members accountable for performance, safety, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Coordinators, and other team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain and inspect tools, equipment, and vehicles to ensure cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness.
- Ensure vehicles and job sites are stocked and ready for daily operations and emergency response.
- Participate in on-call rotations, including after-hours and weekend emergency response as required.
