We are offering an opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Manager in the heart of San Francisco, California. This role is integral to our operations, focusing on establishing and managing the HR Department. As an HR manager, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including handling employee relations, overseeing workers' compensation programs, and administering leaves of absence.
Responsibilities:
• Establish a highly efficient HR department, ensuring seamless integration into overall operations
• Administer leaves of absence, including FMLA/CFRA, ADA, and other statutory leaves, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Handle employee relations issues and facilitate performance improvement plans as needed
• Oversee workers' compensation program, including claims handling and resolution
• Implement and update compensation program annually, and develop and maintain job descriptions
• Conduct annual salary surveys and develop salary budgets; analyze compensation structures
• Manage recruitment process for all exempt and nonexempt positions
• Administer benefits, including claims resolution, change reporting, invoice approvals and billing reconciliation
• Maintain and revise organizational policies and procedures, including regular updates to employee handbook
• Conduct reference checks, prepare and extend job offers, conduct new hire orientations, and administer background checks
• Manage HRIS data and produce HR-related reports, such as headcount and turnover
• Assess firm-wide training needs and propose, develop and deliver training programs for staff at all levels
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws
• Take ownership of various HR projects, identifying needs, planning, and execution of all phases.• Proven experience as a Human Resources Manager for a minimum of 5 years.
• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now operations.
• Knowledge of ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode.
• Experience with Ceridian, HCM, and other HR management software.
• Ability to perform Benefit Functions effectively.
• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong understanding of Compliance with labor laws.
• Expertise in managing Employee Relations.
• Experience in Hiring Processes, from screening to onboarding.
• Knowledge of HR Policy formulation and implementation.
• Ability to handle Human Resources (HR) Administration tasks.
• Familiarity with Labor Law and its application in the workplace.
• Experience in Onboarding new employees.
• Ability to conduct New Employee Orientation.
• Proficient in Performance Management strategies.
• Knowledge of Policies & Procedures relevant to HR.
• Experience in Benefits Administration.
