We are hiring an Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager for our office in Temple City, California. This role involves overseeing the Accounts Payable staff, managing all Accounts Payable functions, and maintaining compliance with company policies and SOX requirements. As an Accounts Payable
Supervisor/Manager, you will also be responsible for resource allocation, project management, and other tasks related to accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinate all Accounts Payable functions, including transactional processing and account reconciliations.
• Provide leadership and management support to the Accounts Payable staff.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and SOX requirements in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Accounts Payable systems, procedures, and controls.
• Handle resource allocation and project management tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members, addressing developmental opportunities and disciplinary issues.
• Implement corrective action and developmental plans as necessary.
• Use motivational techniques to assist team members in maintaining and exceeding standards.
• Conduct auditing tasks as required.
• Use Accounting Software Systems such as Concur and ADP - Financial Services for data processing and account coding.
• Manage month-end close activities.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
•Proficiency in Account Coding and Accrual Accounting
• SOX Compliance experience
• Ability to carry out Data Processing tasks effectively
• Knowledge of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) procedures
• Strong understanding of auditing principles and practices
• Ability to manage and supervise a team effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
