We are seeking a Director of Financial Systems to join a team in the financial services industry, based in Jersey City, New Jersey. This is a hybrid opportunity. This role involves working closely with various teams, managing financial and accounting applications, interfacing with controllers, and overseeing project planning. Responsibilities:
• Managing and overseeing the use of Oracle EPM and ERP systems (FCCS, EPBCS, ARCS, EDMCS)
• Utilizing a solid accounting background to manage consolidating and planning applications
• Interacting with controllers on a regular basis to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Engaging in project planning in implementation mode, catering to both domestic and international users
• Coordinating closely with the ERP team and financial reporting team to ensure smooth operations
• Implementing systems and being actively involved in project execution
• Utilizing knowledge of financial services, preferably within the insurance sector
• Handling any necessary consolation work with a background in FCCS consolidation
• Leveraging skills in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Concur, CRM, Enterprise Resource Planning, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Annual Budget, Auditing, and Budget Processes
• Managing, mentoring and developing the team
•10 + years of Accounting and Finance experience using Oracle EPM and ERP
• Extensive knowledge ERP Systems
• Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning
• Competency in handling Accounting Functions
• Strong leadership capabilities
• Leadership experience in a finance role within the insurance industry is preferred
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial staff and stakeholders
• Excellent strategic planning and financial forecasting skills
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Advanced knowledge of financial law and regulatory standards (GAAP)
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• An advanced degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred)
• Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CPA) is considered an asset
• Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence – ability to motivate staff
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and financial management software.
