Extended School Year (ESY) Special Education Teacher

Location: Manassas, VA

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for the ESY setting.
• Adapt instructional methods to meet students' needs.
• Assess and monitor student progress.
• Collaborate with ESY staff, parents, and service providers.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintain accurate student records.
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure safety.
• Participate in ESY training and meetings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred).
• Valid Virginia teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
• Experience with special needs children, particularly in ESY programs.
• Knowledge of IEP processes and special education laws.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
