Special Education Teacher- Oregon - Teletherapy

Overview:

• Full Time - 37.5 hours per week
• 100% remote position - Work from Home
• This district operates on a four-day work week
• K-6 Caseload
• Resource Classroom

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction and support to students with special needs through our teletherapy platform.
• Develop and implement customized educational plans and strategies tailored to each students unique needs.
• Collaborate with students, families, and other educational professionals to ensure effective communication and progress tracking.
• Utilize virtual tools and resources to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
• Valid Oregon Special Education teaching certification.
• Proven experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a remote or virtual setting.
• Strong proficiency with digital tools and teletherapy platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.

Requirements:

• Contractors are required to secure both general and professional liability insurance.
• Candidates should be comfortable with the nature of the role as an independent contractor (1099).
• All applicants must successfully complete a technical screening to verify Wi-Fi and download speeds, as well as proficiency with Zoom.
