We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Data Governance Analyst. The role focuses on managing and enhancing our data governance practices, with a particular emphasis on metadata management. This position will involve working closely with various stakeholders, including technical and business teams.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the definition of critical data elements, document data lineage, ownership, and data quality.

• Assist in integrating new data sets into the Collibra platform.

• Guide business teams through the process of metadata collection and help them understand data definitions to increase data literacy.

• Perform manual data validation to ensure compliance with organizational standards and policies.

• Continuously manage and update metadata using Collibra and similar tools like Axiom and Informatica.

• Work closely with various stakeholders to understand business needs and align data governance practices accordingly.

• Leverage your skills in Atlassian Jira, BusinessObjects Technologies, Database, EO/IR systems, Erwin Data, AB Testing, Agile Scrum, Business Intelligence (BI), Business Requirement Document, Create Dashboards, SQL, and Power BI to enhance the efficiency of data governance processes.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in using Collibra or similar data governance tools.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
• Experience with data quality assessment and remediation techniques.
• Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SQL and data querying languages.
• Knowledge of data privacy and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
