We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Data Governance Analyst in Houston, Texas. As part of our team, your primary function will be to lead our Data Governance initiative and collaborate with various business units to gather and document requirements for technological solution requests. This role is situated within the IT industry and provides an opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the creation and execution of data governance frameworks and standards.
• Evaluate complex business issues and determine how technology can be utilized or adapted to address them.
• Define objectives and scope of business systems.
• Work hand in hand with cross-functional teams to identify improvement areas, analyze options, and coordinate with data engineers for solution implementation.
• Establish data governance policies and procedures in collaboration with a cross-functional team.
• Regularly conduct audits and validation processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Create and maintain data documentation, such as data dictionaries and metadata repositories.
• Identify data governance issues and lead initiatives to address and resolve them.
• Advocate for data governance best practices and awareness throughout the organization.
• Monitor compliance with data governance policies and report on key metrics.
• Offer training and support to stakeholders regarding data governance processes and tools.• Proficiency in Atlassian Jira is essential
• Must have experience with BusinessObjects Technologies
• Familiarity with Database management is required
• Knowledge of EO/IR systems is crucial
• Must have experience with Erwin Data
• Proficiency in AB Testing is a must
• Must be knowledgeable in Agile Scrum methodology
• Should have a strong understanding of Business Intelligence (BI)
• Must have experience with Business Requirement Document
• Ability to Create Dashboards is required
