We are looking for a Linux Systems Engineer to join our team based in Tampa, Florida. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a Linux Systems Engineer, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including administering Linux systems, managing cloud platforms, and developing enterprise backup solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Administering and managing Linux systems, ensuring optimal performance and security
• Developing and implementing enterprise backup solutions to secure data integrity
• Administering and managing cloud platforms to facilitate efficient operations
• Utilizing vulnerability management tools to identify and address potential security risks
• Designing and implementing data center disaster recovery planning strategies
• Administering and managing VMWare Workspace One and VMWare vSphere NSX
• Developing advanced scripting solutions to automate and enhance system processes
• Administering deduplication storage systems and data storage arrays to optimize storage use
• Managing enterprise level Storage Area Networks (SANs) and SAN fabrics
• Managing an enterprise Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution.• Candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Linux Systems Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in AWS Technologies is a must.
• Experience with Backup Technologies is required.
• Strong knowledge of Linux is essential.
• Familiarity with SAN - Storage Area Network is expected.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure are important.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team is crucial.
• The candidate must have a strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in Linux or AWS Technologies would be an advantage.
