As an SME Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing our Linux servers and systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our Linux-based solutions. Located in San Diego, CA.
Salary- $120,000 yearly
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Configure, administer, and maintain SME servers and systems.
- Implement security measures to safeguard Linux-based assets and data.
- Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly.
- Perform routine system updates, patches, and upgrades.
- Monitor system performance and proactively adjust ensure optimal functionality.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Providing technical support and guidance to end-users and colleagues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Mandatory:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six (6) years of experience in SME Linux administration.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing SME servers and systems.
- Proven experience with shell scripting and automation.
- Must be able to successfully pass any employment background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
- DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Baseline Certification.
- Linux+ or equivalent.
- An active Secret Clearance is required.
