Job Description: As a Special Education Teacher with ProCare Therapy, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. You will collaborate with a team of educators, therapists, and support staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that enables all students to achieve their fullest potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Adapt and modify curriculum and instructional materials to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Assess students' skills and progress to tailor instruction and interventions.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student learning and development.
- Provide direct instruction in academic, social, and life skills as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and performance.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other relevant school activities.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid stateteaching license with Special Education endorsement.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with mild to moderate disabilities.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic educational environment.
