Our office hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. We are closed on Sunday and you will have an additional day off during the week based upon the needs of the practice. Optometric Assistant - Must Have Experience

Responsibilities:
- Support all team members including answering phones, booking appointments, checking in patients, collecting necessary paperwork and documents, insurance verfications and other responsiblities complementing the smooth and efficient operations of the office and excellent patient care.
- Assist optometrists in conducting preliminary tests and evaluations on patients.
- Record and maintain accurate patient medical records using Compulink software.
- Provide support during eye examinations by preparing examination rooms and equipment.
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Utilize Compulink and Weave software for efficient data management.
- Uphold HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality.
- Assist in retail sales of eyewear products, ensuring patients find suitable options.
- Support optometrists in specialized areas such as Myopia Management and Dry Eye Treatement.
- Take vital signs, document patients complaints, collect information regarding ocular and medical history and assist with basic procedures as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an optometric or healthcare setting is required.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is advantageous.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures.
- Proficiency in handling medical records and documentation.
- Understanding of ophthalmic terminology and procedures is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
