WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
We are an electronic medical records software company headquartered in Bonita Springs, Florida. We are seeking a motivated and talented long-term Application Specialist II for our growing team. The Application Specialist II role is an advanced role that is responsible for providing EMR software training and support to clients. This role involves remotely training and supporting ophthalmic medical practices with EMR configuration, software customization and optical software staff training, workflow optimization, and issue escalation. The Application Specialist II is also responsible for assisting clients throughout the year with MIPS questions, evaluating MIPS numbers, recommending workflows to coincide with MIPS and MIPS attestation. To be considered for this position, you must live and permanently reside within one of the following states, FL, GA, MI, NC, OH, OK, PA, TX, WI.
WHAT BASIC QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years customer service experience, preferably ophthalmology, optometry or optical
- Exceptional verbal and written communication.
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Excellent computer skills and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work enthusiastically in an ever-changing and innovative environment.
- Must be a team player, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and maintain a professional/likable attitude.
- Able to travel to trade shows each year (AAO and ASCRS)
WHAT WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE:
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems, preferably EyeMD EMR, not required.
- 3+ years of experience working in clinical ophthalmology, optometry or optical as a technician or assistant.
- Optical experience, Flexsys Optical or ANY Optical software experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) not required.
- EHR, healthcare billing, and/or clinical practice knowledge.
- Computer help-desk experience.
