As an HR Business Partner (HRBP), your role will involve aligning business objectives with the needs and welfare of employees and management across various sectors, departments, markets and divisions. You will act as a consultant to management on HR related issues like employee and labor relations, performance management, strategizing, workforce planning, ADA interactive process, and compensation among other things.
You will conduct timely assessments of HR-related requirements within your client groups for further planning, making recommendations, and developing strategies that include goals and priorities. Being proactive in communicating needs to HR department colleagues and management is crucial. You will aim to develop integrated solutions and function as a change agent and advocate for new HR initiatives and programs. Forming partnerships across the HR team and to deliver high-quality service to management and employees reflecting the strategic objectives of the organization will be a key responsibility.
Role specifications:
- Providing HR expertise in areas such as employee and labor relations, coaching, compensation, conflict resolution, organization development, training, etc.
- Embedding yourself within specific groups, functions or geographies to work closely with management and employees.
- Driving HR programs/initiatives and taking lead in their execution.
- Assisting with employee engagement activities and ensuring compliance with HR policies, procedures and practices.
- Functioning as a HR operational leader for the facility/service area to facilitate business success.
- Partnering with all other HR Leadership to align and partner with and fully utilize the resources to develop valuable strategic solutions.
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3 years of HR or leadership experience OR minimum of 5 years HR or leadership experience OR Master’s Degree (With relevant experience; equivalent education and/or experience; experience through certifications.)
- Proven background in HR generalist role or at least 2 or more areas of specialty like compensation, benefits, employee/labor relations, talent acquisition etc.
- Comprehensive understanding of federal and state labor and employment laws, FMLA, HIPPA, ADA, COBRA and Affirmative Action Programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Suite, with an emphasis on Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence, with commendable written and oral communication skills.
Preferred:
- Two years of focused experience in an HR specialty area such as employee and labor relations, L& OD, compensation, talent acquisition, etc.
- Certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
