Chipton-Ross is seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator for a remote contract opportunity.

Candidates must be local to Lakeland, FL. Travel will be required depending on business needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience with SAP ECP OR SAP On Premises Payroll (Implementation and/or operations).

Experience must be with In House Payroll.

 Payroll system implementation experience to include design, build, test, train, and/or document.

Certified Payroll Professional (APA)

Experience working effectively in a virtual environment

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Post-implementation activities: Analyzes, audits, reconciles and resolves complex payroll processing and employee payroll issues to ensure smooth payroll processing with timely and accurate results. Interprets pay policies, (e.g., vacation, benefits, savings, LOA, disability, workers compensation, union contracts, government regulations, withholding exemptions, etc.) and ensures appropriate amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to the various accounts correctly.

Ensures payroll outputs such as statements, reports and payments are compliant with company policy, generally accepted accounting principles, and federal, state and local regulations. Researches and interprets federal and state regulatory requirements and resolves tax, withholding, garnishment, and wage/hour issues for payroll processing.

Responds to audit, legal and regulatory inquiries. Documents payroll processes and procedures; may train payroll department staff. Works with system programmers to achieve solutions or administer company payroll system with outside service provider.

EDUCATION:

Accredited

Bachelors degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience with a minimum of 4 years professional experience
