We are seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to join our team in the financial services industry, located in Redwood City, California. This role will involve managing various accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the maintenance and integrity of the General Ledger and manage subsidiary accounting and reporting
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), state and federal laws, and regulatory requirements
• Manage all Accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Investment Accounting
• Ensure general ledger and sub-ledger accounts are in balance and that outstanding items clear within established deadlines
• Prepare documentation for audits and taxes, including sales and use tax filings and property tax filings
• Oversee cash management, including management of bank account balances and daily account settlements
• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and other statistical information used throughout the organization
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate software maintenance and upgrades
• Prepare financial information as requested for auditors, examiners, and regulators
• Identify training and procedural needs for accounting activities and develop written procedures to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
• Proficiency in using BlackLine
• Understanding of EPS
• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Ability to manage all Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of Auditing procedures and practices
• Familiarity with Balance Sheet Account
• Experience in managing Budget Processes
• Skilled in Financial Statement Preparation
• Proven experience in the Financial Services industry
• Prior experience as a Financial Reporting Manager would be an advantage
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA is preferred.
